MARY OGAR is a 2016 Chevening Scholar of the British Government where she studied Gender and Development at the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), University of Sussex, United Kingdom.
She is a professional journalist who has worked extensively in the media industry specializing in investigative journalism and bringing to the fore, the behind-the-scene accounts that produced several exclusive stories. Her reports influenced a number of changes in public education policies.
She has collaborated with several non – governmental organizations and development partners, deploying her expertise in helping to organize many education summits and teacher training workshops.
The widely travelled Ogar has also covered many international conferences, including the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) and UNESCO GENERAL Conferences. She was also part of the International Tertiary Top Executive Workshop, held in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2013.
Ogar holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos (UNILAG), and a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from the Lagos State University (LASU) in Nigeria.
As one of the founding members of PL9 , I use my platform to promote the great work and legacy of PL9 internationally and mentor the young people.
